Our Story



iDa began as Data Analysis NZ Limited, built on a simple idea: good decisions come from well-understood data. Over the past two decades, we have worked alongside organisations across Aotearoa, applying statistical thinking, structured analysis, and engineering insight to real-world challenges.

As infrastructure systems became more complex and data more interconnected, our work evolved. What began as applied data analysis grew into a broader focus on data management, asset performance, and impact assessment within civil and environmental engineering. We saw that analysis alone was not enough: data needed structure, context, and thoughtful design to support decision-making.

The rebrand to iDa (insight Data analysis) reflects that evolution. It represents insight, design, and alignment, bringing data and infrastructure together in a way that creates lasting value. Today, we continue to work with councils and engineering teams across Aotearoa, helping turn complex information into clear, defensible decisions that serve communities and the environment.
